  • To be honest without their stars they are still a great team. They all know their jobs , they always play to their strengths . Season defining game for us . Teams that go ok against them really hit the corridor and go at them . With our current forward pack might be a hard task . Hope I am wrong
  • Can't see the storm beating us with our backline and halves at full strength. We need Vave back up front.

I can't see Norman in the origin team
  • Hopefully someone reminds the players about the gold coast game in round 3.
  • If we play like we did against the Dogs in the second half we will lose this easily.
This Storm side all know their jobs and they'll come out and produce what they always do every week.
We can win this but we must match them in the middle and make yards either through the middle or early shifts to the edges.
If we go one out, make 30m on a set and kick to the corners waiting for a mistake we will be waiting all night.
If we can match their forwards and play with good field position we should win well.
    There's no excuses!
  • Talking to a few people at the Broncos who have been involved in the storm / Bellamy system tell me it's absolutely world class but it's not for the feint hearted.
Its apparent very very structured with massive fines if you go out of that system.
If you are looking for a cuddle or an easy time - you go elsewhere.
They do more repetitive training than any other side on the basics and their pre season is absolutely legendary in terms of its brutality.
    It's honest and brutal.
Someone like Jarryd Hayne would absolutely hate it at the Storm but a player like Nathan Peats would thrive.

I was watching Bellamy on TV lose his shit when Chambers lost the ball in the 76th minute against the Broncos..the storm were up by 20 points at that stage.
I'm told Chambers would be expected to account for his infraction to the coach. - that's why they are successful and deserve everything they win.

BA knows all about the system and is no doubt trying to replicate it at the Eels - but it takes time.
  • Not going to be easy nor should it be. It's time this team stepped up and start playing like their in it to win it because the time has come. You can't go into the finals playing the footy we are.

"Difference is that Talagi played centre the full SG ball season that eels won the comp in 2023. He even played centre in JF that year. He didn't play in the halves at all that year. Risati has only played 6 for us"
