  If everyone stayed healthy and in reasonable form, I can't see a position in FG for him.
  
  But maybe he's there as backup, that why BA kept him. Was it a reduced contract?

  Watmough generally takes his support to the line before offloading the ball where the crab goes sideways or jinks before offloading. Gower was impressive last year. Will be interesting to see the 17 as the year goes on if we stay injury free that's for sure.

  I don't think Watmough will play lock and Ma'u should be the other starting second row. That leaves the 13 jumper to either Edwards or Paulo and, if it was up to me, I would start with Edwards. Question then is whether he makes it in as an interchange back rower. If we assume that BA will carry two interchange props and Tepai takes one of the remaining positions, he is then competing against the likes of Pauli, Terepo, IDG, Gower and Faoso...I think he will only play first grade when we have injuries.

    Where are you going to play watmough then? He has played lock for manly, nsw and australia for the last 5 years at least. He started his career on the edge but moved to the middle years ago

    Not sure I agree with that. A fit Glenn Stewart certainly played the role of the ball playing back rower who linked with the backs - an attacking role traditionally played by the lock. However, Watmough may well have controlled the middle in defence. I agree that Hindy played lock, but that was no secret - Daniel Anderson used to say it was because of Hindy's superstition.
    I think Edwards is a better ball player than Watmough and, for that reason, is likely to wear the 13, not 11 or 12 - but I'm happy to be wrong. Its all academic anyway. Coaches get their players to play to their strengths, irrespective of the number they wear. So long as Sefa doesn't play, I'm happy.
