So since we've all been at home in our downtime what projects or goals have we achieved ? I've managed to bring a few BMX bikes back to life and even did my first big concreting job. Re did the front gardens , painted some exterior parts of the house , ripped the garden out and re did it , changed some ceiling fans over and even put some power points in. COVID lockdown hasn't been all that bad from a completing the " gunna" jobs. Now my projects not as good as a tradie would do but it's kept me occupied and I lost about 10krgs digging :) .
Anyone got any pics of the projects they've done ? Years ago TommyBoy did the DIY thread and it was a hit , Here's a before and after of the refresh I did out the front ( yes my retaining wall is a bit how ya goin ). , was a lot harder than I anticipated. My concreting turned out ok , just Gotta paint the driveway now. Dug it all out by hand before I go in this Thursday for a shoudler reconstruction.
What, have we done ladies and gents ?

Wiz, I would like to add to this social blog, however Super or some other nark will close down the blog, like the other one. Seems we can only talk footy at this time of year. Maybe rebirth the blog after we win the GF.
I wonder if Nark is as bad a four letter word as the one Frank used? If so, it has been good knowing you blokes ( Carlo & Macy are good blokes as well)
I've rearranged cupboards over and over that's what I do when I'm stressed . I wish I was far more productive like you wiz , but
I'm not handy , I don't bake , I don't sew 🤔
product of a feminist mother I guess
I tried but it doesn't give me the option on my phone . In the past Supers just moved them to socials so I was just expecting him to do the same .
Haha love your work Wiz always have…..
Just don't get offended Wiz by what some say on here as the code of conduct is extremely vague with what constitutes offensive language or behaviour and encourages the creation of safe spaces to cater for the effeminate amongst us.
A simple 3 or 4 letter word can get you suspended for 3 months these days if directed at the emotionally piss weak or safe space cadets.
Looks great. Like the driveways and gardens. Did you resurface that part near the garage cracks ect ?
I've been doing ceilings mate, heaps of nail pops where I inserted new screws and patched sanded & painted. Installed two whirlybirds, cleaned right around eves and gutters with soap & a broom. Trying to keep fit also put on a few kegs during lockdown.
If you want some good tips around the house, watch billshowto on you tube. I've learned a bit from him.
Also smashed my hand into peices, metacarpal ring finger & pinky trying to tension a garage spring. my ring finger metacarpal was smashed into 7 peices. All good now 99%. I thought I was farked after the doc said injuries like mine usually had bad outcomes.
No when I paint I was going to fix the cracks and that beforehand. If anyone knows a good method I'd love to hear it. That was my next Youtube lesson. Waiting for the temp to warm up a bit .
I like the black combo with your brick work
Thanks Tad, with the older style of house it's really hard to find a scheme that suits without going down the path of painting bricks or rendering. We thought about it but really didn't want to lose the brickwork character. Haven't decided on a colour for the driveway yet though. Worried about overdoing the dark so may go a light grey.
I had painted the floor of a studio -now converted to an accom unit for my daughter. .Had to grind it with a commercial grinder as I wanted to put a traditional vinyl floor pattern.on the floor. It looks great.Be careful when you paint cement flooring as you have to remove the paint before you resurface it with anything. Floor glues don,t stick on many painted flooring products. The dust makes one hell of a mess and is dangerous to breathe.I will never paint concrete flooring again
