No he defends better in the middle, can and sometimes does move wider in attack.
I would leave it as is - because it's working fine.
We came within a whisker of winning 4 in the trot. The pack was without starters Peats and Mannah, and Gowie got a heavy knock early, and we were still great. Personally, I've been super impressed with Tep this year - not alot of flashy plays but he is working beautifully in the middle I reckon.
I just don't get the whole panic stations thing because we lost a game on the bell.. we held Penrith and the Tigers tryless for a total of 120 minutes in the last 2 weeks, and held the Dogs tryless for about 75 minutes, and all of a sudden because the Pennies snatched a victory at the bell when we were defending on our line for the third straight set peeps have decided that the sky is falling.
If the bunker hadn't overturned the decision we would all be talking premierships today.
We will be big underdogs against the raiders - just the way we like it. We have a pack that doesn't need to fear anyone - the boys will be champing at the bit to get out there and get physical - let them redeem themselves :)
Oh, and half our team is new and people are scratching thier heads because our attack isn't as well oiled as the Cows and Broncos in round 5 - what the fuck??
Well said champ.
parra went away from the past game plan in defence , going for more open attack, i think that almost come off with a win going down with 10 sec to go.
to me penrith would have got beat if we had the past weeks defence game plan.
look we went down with 10secs to go that very lucky..
Tepai is a terrible defender on the edge. No lateral movement. Beau Scott is awesome on the edge. So no.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Scott defends on the edge but it looked like Scott was to keep Moylan quiet, who plays up the middle - tick job done. When Scott left the field, I didn't think Kenny E did as well. Penrith got some better go forward.
So was Ma'u meant to do the same job on Soward? He had too much space in the last 10 mins.
