cost of tickets

$30 -$50 for home seats and $45 for Manly fans to come to Pirtek, put the cost of food on this and we  know why people stay home to watch on TV.

  • $30 for 2 hours (more if you watch more grades) is great value. Don't eat at the game if food prices are too high for u. Some people complain for no reason
  • Yep thats why nearly every seat in the stadium has already been sold, people don't want to go! The fans go that extra bit because it's IMPORTANT.
  • Talking up relative size of TV? #1 sign you are a peasant.

  • Interesting! It's an increase on last years prices for the popular games but decrease for the less popular ones.

  • Mate, I'm genuinely confused by your blog. You reckon it's too expensive?
Name another 2 hours (well, much more if you go to lower grade games too) of entertainment that's cheaper than $30??? Food is ridiculously priced at all entertainment venues (movies, concerts, cricket, etc).
What's your solution? How much should tickets be?
You can lower your cost by becoming a member. And if the club wants to give cheaper tickets to Parra fans than to the opposition, well, that's just fine with me. I'd prefer to be sitting with my fellow Eels. This games a sell out mate.
    • And the year before the Titans charged $65 for a Gold seat and $150 for a family ticket. They were in damage control when it came to crowd numbers
  • I went to a Knicks and Rangers game last year when I was in New York. The tickets ranged from $90 to about $3500 per ticket with the majority being about $200 to $300. Sick of reading how people think it's too expensive to go to the game. The NRL does not owe you a free nights worth of entertainment, even though you can get it on TV. $50 per ticket is entirely reasonable, and approx $200 for a season ticket is a fantastic price.
  • Last yr Titans tickets were I paying adult child free so you could get a family of 4 in for $52.

I wont go into their prices this yr as they are throwing them away.

  • I agree it is expensive for some plus stadium puts a booking fee on tickets purchased from game as well. Kids registered to play used to get in for free. Bought many chips, ice crrams etc for kids with no money to spend at games. Open your eyes.
  • You gotta pay more money to go to games that are likely to be sell-outs, this is so the club gets more money. This is why the star system was brought in. Against the Titans you can pick up a reserved ticket in one of the terraces for $20 for an adult or $50 for a family ticket and that's for all games that are rated 1-Star. Take your own food like you would have at home, take in your own drinks in plastic bottles and you're spending less money.

You can make a day at the football cheap and valuable if you take most things yourself.

Parra fan on The Hill replied to Roy tannous's discussion Eels offering Jordan samrani
"I really like Samrani but if JR decides to give him up for MB I think that is a massive mistake.
IMO Samrani should be 1st drop for either centre/ wing if one of our starters is out. Brian Kelly is bog average and not going to get better.
