Greg Bird will not be coming to Parramatta in 2013 or 2014 onwards. We'll have to look elsewhere for a marquee back rower.

I was looking at the players off contract at the end of 2014 and then just naming Ryan James. I'd still like Parra to have a go for Vaipuna Tia Kilifi I think he has great potential and to take him away from Penrith would get right up the noses of Penrith officials and supporters. Other than that, I think our second-row/lock ranks are in good hands in: Maitua, Paulo, Ryan, Masinamua, Tanginoa, Pauli and McGill. As for a big name second-rower with first grade experience, the only players I would look at if I were in charge would be: Mateo, Ryan James and SBW. If I happen to get one of the three I would not pursue the other two.
Loads of back rowers off contract...............................and the Eels will get diddly squat, none, zero, zilch, fark all, absolutely nothing, not even the scraps from the reggies are interested in the eels. Parra are the disgrace of the competition.
