I was looking at the players off contract at the end of 2014 and then just naming Ryan James. I'd still like Parra to have a go for Vaipuna Tia Kilifi I think he has great potential and to take him away from Penrith would get right up the noses of Penrith officials and supporters. Other than that, I think our second-row/lock ranks are in good hands in: Maitua, Paulo, Ryan, Masinamua, Tanginoa, Pauli and McGill. As for a big name second-rower with first grade experience, the only players I would look at if I were in charge would be: Mateo, Ryan James and SBW. If I happen to get one of the three I would not pursue the other two.
Loads of back rowers off contract...............................and the Eels will get diddly squat, none, zero, zilch, fark all, absolutely nothing, not even the scraps from the reggies are interested in the eels. Parra are the disgrace of the competition.

Have you changed your approach to things with recruitment as a whole?"
"Their middles are ageing. They are heading for a rebuild as the Trbojevic brothers and DCE move on and have money. Difference is they will buy most of the players they want.
MON? Would say "Do you accept bits of string?" As a low ball tactic."
"You really think we would sign him to be a back-up Darren? We weren't signing him with the intent of being a back-up. If we were happy with Smith moving forward we weren't signing him.
We need a Hooker that can play eyes up it seems according to…"
