A mate just sent me an email with this quote from Jarryd's interview and saying "you must be relieved he has gone to the glitter coast".
"For me to give up what I gave up – the status, the leadership, the respect – it's not of this world," he says. "The world these days isn't about taking yourself out of the kingdom and putting yourself with the peasants."
Was a reminder that as amazing as he is, I don't think his ego and BA would have mixed well. He will be the best player in the game. No doubt. Doesn't mean the Titans will be the best team in the League. And instead of us talking about one player every week we will be talking about many.

I was always concerned at how he would fit in our team, now?
BA is all about the team, not a one trick pony team. I am sure that BA was sincere when he wished JH well when leaving for the NFL and had few regrets.
That interview was in March.
He was referring to leaving NRL to start from scratch in NFL, not comparing offers between Titans and Eels.
Correct. His point which I agree with is he does have a massive ego. Which I am sure is part of why he is as good as he is as a player and drives his belief in his brand and commercial decisions. But it doesn't come without challenges for a team. You need a particular culture to make that work. Not so sure this is the culture BA is building. It was one his old team mates that sent me this.
Jarryd is and always will be a very talented player.
How much better will the Titans be with him? Who will the loose for getting him?
Good luck to him and the Titans. I know the Eels will be a competitive side come next year and for seasons to come.
ENOUGH! ENOUGH!! no more princes talk.
You guys give him the exposure he craves.
Talk about OUR team not some one else's..who cares about them any way..do you??
If only he was as good as he thinks he is. A man with no loyalty, Judas needs to drop the religious crap as well.
I thought his post match interview was telling. He was quite happy to have it be all abut him, despite the fact that the Titans potentially just dropped out of the eight with that loss. Nice little wrap he gave himself with his "couple of classy touches".
Neil Henry has a big job ahead of him. My criticism was always that Jarryd as a dominant fullback was always bad for your team performance, as when your fullback overcalls your half, you never have the same direction. From the moment, he got onto the field, he totally dominated that Titans side. Every play was basically set up for him. It's no coincidence at all that Ash Taylor had his worst game all year with Hayne coming in and basically taking over running the show.
