Season nearly gone but still there, Gutho scores to be behind by ten with 16 to go.
No urgency, nothing, no response, had one defensive set after and are walking back to our line.
There are problems, they need to sit down and decide what is best for them, BA needs to simply ask them do you want me here or not.
if they love him so much as a coach why put up that shit for last 2 months?
I don't want to here this "No Moses" crap either, Brisbane do it without Reynolds, Penrith without Cleary, Cronulla beat us without Hynes, Melbourne have won without Munster and Grant.
We are a weak club, they don't care about fans and how they feel, they care about their mates and pay check, Sarantinos cares about the members numbers but does nothing for them, I saw someone win a jersey next me yet haven't been to a game all year, nothing for loyal fans other than upping the prices.
Whenever you see say Souths give a player a debut jersey they say things like make this club proud or do it for the fans. What do we say? Make us proud, that's it, nothing about club and or fans. Imagine Brian Smith seeing his players be like that.
Bellamy, Bennett, Robinson all wouldn't. Imagine being like that in a soccer club overseas, they would be dragged through fire.
Arthur is not all at fault but their attitude is on him, letting them be that way. They way they've given up also is a bad sign for him and this club moving forward.
Hell Billy Smith was on the winning team against piss weak us and he was average himself

You are so right LB. You'd think they'd fucking have a dig for the fans out there and him if they want him.
Just maybe they actually want him gone. That's how it looks.
Do they love him as he lets them do as they please? I'd love a boss like that.
Levy said on 2GB, Gutho needs to shut his mouth, well why hasn't BA done that? He says they fought hard, really? Really? They gave up.
Arthur is not pissing anyone off so he can keep players happy to save his job.
😂😂😂😂
Yeah I'm sure LB will be regretting it....🙄🙄
God you're a funny guy Brissy - say hi to BA for me
Not saying all players, Hopgood, Brown, Gutho even in particular would be as you said. Moretti also. But quite a few there I do not think care.
They gave up, have the last few weeks. Are they thinking differently when they gave up? Down by 10 with 16 to go, plenty of time, no urgency or energy.
I can cop a loss where we were giving big effort and just couldn't get there, early in the year was like that. Our last 4-5 losses have been disgraceful in effort. Not from all but by a few, a fair few.
If I regret it, it means Parramatta are winning, I'll happily cop that if it means we win, I've done that in past and happy to do it again.
LB I feel for you son but players earn to much money to really give a fuck , I remember after the 98 preliminary final against the dogs a lot of eels players were smiling after the game .
After the siren tonight players would of felt disappointed for a few seconds then they would of thought about the cash they are making and the disappointment disappeared and smiles came out.
Agreed Fong. For most players, its just a job. Win or loss they still get paid.
Id say for most on here if we've made a mistake at work, there would be some form of 'oh crap, i stuffed up' and move on. For a lot of players its the same. Win or loss the world still turns.
I've personally worked in places where other staff dont give a shit and that mentality is contagious and messed with your head.
Ive been a life long parra fan, most of my family is but the this season has been hard to watch. Am I going to let it have an effect on me? Maybe for an hour immediately after the game but, if Im honest why would I invest so much energy into something where I get nothing back? The club/players winning has zero impact on my life, much the same as our opinions on here have zero impact with the club
We need a leader like Jake Trbojevic that is not focused on acting like a child when things do not go his way. Then the squad hardens up too.
Fong, i think it is purley me being a human being and a reactionary person to the point that i am over the constant joke i get as a fan from peers, with all my mates seeing their team win comps. If i mention Parramatta in a positive light in off-season i get laughed at, Wests get mentioned positively people listen. Just saying that Parramatta no matter what are a hated club and a joke club to many non Eels fans. They have never been feared, in the time BA was here. Last year they were sort of feared, but week 2 of finals it was half and half people backing Canberra then more than half picked NQ the following week. In the GF some did choose us for the fairtytale but i cannot the last time where people would say "I do not want to face Parramatta".
Just over it to be fair, it is time for a rebuild or a decent reboot, we tried rebooting this year but has failed miserably. But we will continue to squeeze the lemon hoping more juice comes out. BA will be on media hotseat and will get a couple of good wins to warrant an extension and will repeat again.
Yet i had a few people around me last night mention is he actually in control at Parra, fair point to raise as if he is not then this is out of his control and he should be. But at the same time i thought if that is the case why is he not setting the club an ultimatum, give me more contorl or i walk. If the club love him so much they would listen and react to his request. Then BA gets what he wants, then he can be accountable for what happens after that.
I did say after the GF i am fine with him getting 2023 & 2024, however i wanted to see our 2023 before deciding further, he now has 2025, which activated himself as soon as we started slow go figure, but this club need to start being serious with BA. Either give him full control then he will either swim or sink, or give him an heir apparent or someone looking over his shoulder like Carr was in 2020-2022 and pretty much have it as if we have a bad season this is your replacement. Be serious, give him a challenge and if does not like then he's not the coach for us now, if he takes it on then good on him let's see what he has got left.
Though could also be a case of both parties are better moving on, BA will benefit with a move elsewhere to rebuild a new club, we move forward with a new voice. I feel certain neither are going to win a comp with each other.
I thought before kick-off if they would move Brown to right as he is techincally playing 7, since our attack is first receiver to the right with Moses will he keep that, he did and it did not work considering majority of the time we favoured Asi on the left anyway.
As much as I love Guthos effort at fullback, he's not a captain. Listen to the way he addresses his players and the ref. Don't even get me started on what I think of Paulo being a captain. Hopgood would be a great captain which is pretty bad when you think about it as he is playing his full first season of nrl this year
There was a moment early this season (I can't remember who we were playing) when Hopgood dropped it cold which was surprising given how well he was playing at that time. There wasn't any verbal outburst or carry on or back slapping - nothing. He just aimed up in the next set in defence and went about his work. It was like it never happened or it wasn't a problem. At that time I thought there's a leader. The team needs that sort of mental stability so they can cope with adversity. This will never be found in Gutho or Moses because this isn't their character.
