Competent back up half

Geez it helps .

This isn't a knock on the old one but rather a pat on the back for Asi.

His kicking game was really solid and his left boot a point of difference. He ran the ball wall and defended ok. The drop off wasn't unmanageable.

These guys are all back ups for a reason and there will be ups and downs with him but he has the talent and skill set to do a job for us and we're really going to need him over the next few weeks.

If this happened 3 weeks ago the season would be in tatters but he did very well. Jake was playing first grade well before his time. Hes been playing well in cup but blind freddy can see he has a long way to go . What do we do with the 6 and 7 next week?  Asi and Hands?

  • I'd say Asi and Hands , but what if Hodgo ain't right ? Does that other kid with the big wraps get a call up?

on another note for the statisticians , When was the last time went into a game without Brown or Moses ?

    • Sanders has a broken hand, so is unavailable.

Round 25 2021 was the last time neither Moses or Brown played for us. But that was a choice as Brad was resting almost our entire starting 17.

Will Smith and Jake Arthur were the halves.

Of that side only Sean Russell, Makatoa, Bryce Cartwright, and Shaun Lane remain in the squad.

      • Ahh yes I remember that game, Penrith yeah ? We got smashed , whilst holding on for longer than most expected.

        • Yep it was something like 12-6  at half time that game and we debuted a bunch of players.

          • Super/Wiz, yep in that game (R25, 2001) without Moses-Brown & many of our usual starters, the Panthers walloped us 40-6.

But, this year, we seem to be getting stronger mentally as a collective unit in battle overcoming adversity. So, I'd expect (or hope for) more against Manly missing DCE and Turbo.

    • Russell fullback, Guttho half, Asi stays 5/8.. Sivo may be in some trouble so welcome back Dunster and Lumelume.

      • Did you see both Dunster And the other one today in nsw cup . No thanks

        • Sadly yes... but tell me, who else?

      • Gutho might be in origin 2 as well

      • Zac cini
