  • Its kind of the same feeling as when a friend moves interstate or your favourite TV series ends, it just leaves this emptiness knowing he won't be here next season.
    • The guys I missed the most were Ray Price...Warnie...Huss and now Jarryd.

All icons of their sport and they all had that unbelievable magical ingredient that set them aside from others and gave us so much enjoyment.

Hope Hayne makes it over there so we can be consoled by watching him play the yank version of  "fooball'.

      Best of luck Jarryd.

    • Ye exactly how I felt when breaking bad ended.

  • I had one of my key staff members last week. Bugger, I thought. So I went for a walk around the lake. Then I made a few phone calls and within an hour I had a replacement, who has let me rejig my team and re-allocate my resources to fit much better with where the business is at currently. That's actually how I feel.

On a more observational level, I would compare it to Ian Thorpe who had he swum and won at another Olympics would have gone down as one of the greatest of all time. Instead its tough to remember him for much more than his mediocre comeback performances. Jarryd was on the path to being a RUgby League immortal. I think he could have won four Dally M's and set a record that would never have been broken. That's perhaps on a personal note what I feel worse about, to know that one of the greatest players in the game could have been one of our own.

  • Really?

I still haven't gotten over that yet.

    Best show ever.

    • Ye tank best show ever made by a long long way.

  • Or like when they retired Black Caviar when I thought she could win a Cox Plate
    • she was no hope to win a Cox Plate, a fast run Cox Plate would have ruined her.

    • I beg to differ but her cruising speed and dominance over 1400 and how she could relax would tell me that she would have been an enormous chance

Yobz replied to Yobz's discussion 2026 Disrupter Rule - Why wasn't this a penalty to the Eels?
"If the purpose of the rule is to not have "one hand interfering with the opposition player", it should be worded as such."

SuperEel 22 replied to Yobz's discussion 2026 Disrupter Rule - Why wasn't this a penalty to the Eels?
"1. The rule is dumb and incredibly vague.
2. It's a coin toss decision
3. According to The Bunker in this game, basically making it look like you're going to go with 2 hands is good enough.
Can't wait for this stupid rule to ruin a rep/finals game."
