Parramatta Eels can confirm Reagan Campbell-Gillard has been granted a release from the final year of his contract and he can pursue an opportunity at another NRL club.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Reagan is a quality player and has consistently demonstrated his impact on the field, reaching the impressive milestone of 200 NRL games earlier this year.
"While these decisions are never easy, we also wanted to ensure that Reagan had the opportunity to secure his future beyond the 2025 season.”
"We thank Reagan for his dedicated service to the Eels and wish him, his partner Alira and their young family all the very best for the future."
Reagan made his debut for the Eels in 2020, he has represented NSW in State of Origin and Australia in Test Matches.
“I’m so thankful for the opportunity to come to a great Club which helped me get my football back on track,” said Campbell-Gillard.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Parramatta, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and for the lifelong friendships I’ve made.
“I also want to thank the passionate Eels fanbase, it’s been a pleasure playing in front of them and I’ve appreciated all their support over the years.”

Sad to see the big fellas departure has been confirmed, was hoping for him to stay. But wish him the best where ever he is going, he is going to be a great leader and pick up.
Thank you for your service. Was a gentleman when i met him at a fan day, big fan of his even at Penrith. Will go down as one the best Props this club has ever seen. Thank you RCG #804
The moment he took that kick for goal it was clear he was leaving.

Bets on his new club??
Brisbane
Dragons or bulldogs, cowboys and broncos a close second.
A good man, and he showed great consistency IMO throughout his time year; sadly missed. This again highlights the errors made with contracts for the main playing group, as I am sure he is one player that we did not really want to lose but with a new coach coming onboard and with some big contracts already here, he was one that was sacrificed.
He also had some sad family losses over the last year or so. Wish him well.
All I can say is there better be a big signing on the horizon as we are now a far weaker side than we were yesterday.
