Closest comp for a long time

I meant to write this a fewweeks back but I think it’s even clearer now. With the warriors, dragons, tigers, bunnies and knights the big improvers this year I think its going to be the closest Comp in years. Even teams like the raiders and dogs who haven’t got out of the box are going to be competitive. No team looks like easy beats although some might argue our beloved Eels could be that and the Titans may struggle although they looked good in early rounds. Expect it to be a real scrap for the top 8.

      That may be so Monto but I believe the talent is very evenly spread this year regardless of refs

      Monto has nothing to do with refs, they are just getting told what to do. CEO must be the one to take the blame.

    It does seem a lot more even but would wait till later in season before judging. Melbourne are definitely no where near as good without cronk however teams like rooster and Cowboys will improve as the season progresses.
    I don't see all 3 of tigers, warriors and Saints to keep up their form as their always a few world beaters early in season who fall apart so think there will still be 3 or 4 stand out teams for top 4. A log jam from 5th-12th and 4 teams will be struggling and out of contention by time origin finishes. If that scenario plays out it no closer then previous seasons.

    St George started fast last two years but look to be better this year . Warriors are certainly playing good football and have resolve this year winning without Johnson yesterday was massive for them.

    Our game on Monday is beyond being huge . We have to win to get on board and start a run.
