I've had a bit of a look at Gutho on instagram and he is very very skinny. Has he always been this lean? looking at him i dont know how he will be able to tackle the big boys if he is playing centre. Does anyone know if he is doing strength training or trying to bulk up?

Sorry i wrote that wrong. I meant that we was potentially going to play centre for us (had we not signed jenko). But even at Manly he was in the centres...i was just suprised to see how skinny he is
He's young and still needs time to fill out. Apparently he's been training the house down since moving across from Manly.

What's this obsession with everyone needing to bulk up? French, Gutherson and even POH in another blog. Their frames are what they are and their ability to perform at their highest level may well be impacted by bulking up.
As an example, I recall Willie Tonga not being able to even take the field due to back and leg issues all because Stuart ordered him to bulk up. Bulking up may cause Gutherson (French) to lose speed or break down due to his frame no being able to carry the excess weight over time.
I am fairly positive that the club's nutritionalists, weight trainers and conditioning staff are doing exactly what each individual requires under the coachs' guidance.
Bulking up add metres to runs and helps you tackle bigger blokes...something you need if playing centre. I would personally say that bulking just a tad couldeven ADD some speed. Especially bulking up in the legs
