Clint Guths Best suitability

I keep seeing all these comments about Clint not being a winger and that he is a center. But lets not forget... the most consistancy and success hes ever had was outside Taka. For what ever reason them two just gel really well. Ever since Guth got taken off the wing on Takas side, that edge has been dead. Taka has suffered because hes ball playing skills to his outside man keep failing because no one can read taka like gutho.Gutho got moved to center for a lil while and was getting mutilated. Hes too skinny for center and not explosive enough.He seems to have potential at 5/8, his passing is ok, kicking is ok, tackling is good, he is big and strong enough to give lazy forwards and smaller halves a hard time when he runs the ball.He may be good at fullback but i dont see him having as much of an upside to him as french does there. French just needs to pass more and kick more and hes going to be a nightmare for opposition sides.Theres alot of work to be done before this side can make 5th to 8th come seasons endFor me, Gutho is best suited on the wing outside taka and they need to redevelop that combo they once had.Yeh gutherson isnt a speedy winger but hes a great finisher. Taka isnt a speedy center but hes a great ball player.20meters out from oppositions try line theyre a deadly combo.For me, when moses arives, Gutho is only a handy back up player when it comes to 5/8 or FB. His best position ON THIS TEAM is on the wing outside taka. Because them two make each other much better players. And like i said, ever since they were broken up, that right side attack has been dead and defensively that edge has been full of holes at the moment too if u havent noticed. Our right side defence needs a talker and organiser out there, someone fit and with a big defensive heart and who isnt lazy and thats Gutho.French has done enough to secure his spot at fullback. He has been put under massive pressure under the highball, hasnt slipped once, and i think with moses being slashy and unpredictable confusing the defenders, that will create gaps for Frenches speed to punch through if they can strike up a connection because theyre both players who break oppositions ankles with their slashy agile athletic attack.So for me, its Clint re uniting with Taka ASAP so they can re find their combosFrench at the back feeding off MosesWhat do u guys reckon?Am i making sense?I think we give those two a chamce to regain their damaging combo. I believe it will work..And if it doesnt, we keep Clint on the wing and start looking at Kirosome Auvaa as a replacement for takaClint MAY VERY WELL BE more of a 5/8 FB or center on any other team. But ON THIS TEAM i think he is best suited on the wing PURELY BECAUSE of his potent combonations with taka. They read each other too well. No one else can read takas offloads and passes

  However if lyon was a winger and 5/8.
  I remember when taka took over 5/8 last and clint went to center he got crunched. He looked hurt all the time. He had nothing to offer

Think centre will be his position next year, and I agree he needs to bulk up moderately without losing speed.

Taka isn't the same player he was 18 months ago and I think Gutherson should either be moved to centre or fullback once Mitchell Moses arrives.

Guth best spot is fullback, but we have Bev his next best spot is at Centre.

His stint at 5/8 will improve him as a footballer, he will be fine there when Mose's arrives and Bev is right again to play fullback.

  i agree i can see him as a fullback but in this side, much like latrell mitchell at roosters, he can go into the centres and still be effective.

I'm sorry but taka hasn't been playing bad devasting runs still hard to read, yeah defence has lacked but it just seems that side is yet to really gel to be honest because I don't feel as though Hoffman is a winger

  I dont think Taka has been playing bad either. Hes copped much un warrented criticism. He just needs a guy who can read him so that his ball playing skills can be fully realised again
