Clint Gutherson named as Co-Captain of Parramatta Eels

The Parramatta Eels Club has announced today that Clint Gutherson will Co-Captain the Parramatta Eels alongside Tim Mannah and Beau Scott for the remainder of the 2018 season.

Parramatta Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur said all three players will rotate the captaincy duties and share on and off field responsibilities associated with the role.

“Each player brings different strengths to our team, and Clint has certainly proven his leadership skills and deserves to be rewarded for it. Clint will have the opportunity to develop as a leader under the tutelage of two experienced captains in Tim and Beau”, said Brad.

Clint Gutherson, a fan favourite, said he looks forward to the challenge of having more responsibility within the team.

“It’s a massive honour to share the captaincy of this Club and I’m looking forward to leading our team for the rest of the season,” said Clint.

  • Good move
  • About time move in a new direction because the old one's not working.
  • Loving this.

But kinda got a feeling the Kings appointment is the writing on the wall for both Scott and Mannah.

      • He can’t retire as he has to show Gutherson how to be a great Captain!

  • Finally a good move. Lets go King

    • BEM, that's a face saving statement to cover both Mannah and Scott.  I honestly do not see Beau playing a lot of games this year, and would not be surprised if he takes early retirement.  I also see it could be a sign to next year for Tim as well, as I believe that Brown will be the other Capt. Both these players are 80 minute ones and that's what we need.

A very good call for mine.

  • Gutho will be captain by himself next year.
  • Lets be all real here

    Gutho is the captain.
  • Yep.
