Junior Paulo has joined current skipper Clint Gutherson as a captain for Parramatta in 2022. This is a surprising announcement and one that i am happy with too, adding a leader in the forwards we solely need.

I like it. Junior is obviously a well-respected member of the team, an Eels junior and is someone the young forwards look up to.
I wonder if this too is a thing of Gutho not having the respect he once had? That Opacic outburst really turned people the wrong way, not saying he has lost the dressing room but maybe Junior is that new voice and calming head in the team that separates Gutho.
I think the blow up at Opiacic people over reacted it was heat of the moment. Players have said worse to each other.
I like the idea of a co captain I reckon Reed would of been in that role had he not decided to take the cash I'm happy with Junior he is our only out and out Rep player and is the pack leader
Jr is a good communicator, cemented himself as a blues regular unlike Gutho,has respect from the entire team so it makes sense.
I like it. Junior is by far our best forward & the leader of our pack, he is a fantastic leader & presents himself really well in interviews etc. I also like the co captain system also. 1 being a back and the other being a forward

Good news. I'm not sure Gutho is the Captain we need. Jnr will add some kudos to the role.
I wonder if this is a move that either McGregor or Ennis pushed for to BA.
