  I could've sworn last nights' news reported the Panthers extended Nathan Cleary' till 2022 or something like that?

    They did. He's extended his contract alongside RCG.

  No offence to either but coach Cleary has been solid and tbh it does not seem good from an outsider; the player is v young and yes is good; the coach, lets see how he goes in 12 months at wests.

  Ivan will stay at the Tigers at least another year as will Nathan stay at the Panthers for at least another year. I can’t see them being in the same club either.

  I reckon clubs like the Roosters & Panthers have panicked at the thought of us stealing (knowing we'll have plenty of cap cash for next season) Boyd Cordner = massive 5 year deal, Reagan Campbell Gillard = massive 5 or 6 year deal, and now Nathan Cleary extended till 2022.
  
  I reckon we were trying to sign at least one of those guys and their respective clubs knew they had to go that extra mile to blow our proposal out of the water.
