  What an amazing night and experience that was. I remember sitting in that sea of blue and gold and loving every minute of it. My dad was on a flight back from Perth at the time so he missed the match and me being the smart ass I am told him we'd lost. Didn't take him long to find out the truth and I've never seen him so excited before. That week leading into the final was surreal.

    One of the best times to be a supporter, the atmosphere and feel around the club was immense. The open training session after this game was crazy. Quite depressing that we went on to lose, but the feeling and the ride was fantastic.

  Trouser purchased tickets for us in the Bulldogs section! The advantage was how great the Parra section looked from the other side of the ground. that open training session in the following week was amazing. Must have been around 5000 people there. Never seen anything like it since the 1976 grand final parade or the Leagues Club scenes in 1981.

  Just thinking along a related topic. If we were to win the grand final before our new stadium is built, should we just burn down the current one like 1981 just to get everything moving?

  After watching that game it reminded me of the great defensive attitude that we had. Everyone on that team could tackle and were willing to put their bodies on the line to prevent the ball carrier going any further.
