Civoniceva anoints Fuifui Moimoi as top prop

The Artist Formerly Known As The World's Best Prop has handed the No.1 tag to Kiwi wrecking ball Fuifui Moimoi. Petero Civoniceva was one of 24 Kangaroos entering camp at Homebush Bay yesterday ahead of the Four Nations tournament, which also involves New Zealand, Great Britain and France. Tongan-born Moimoi, the bruising sensation of the NRL finals for Parramatta, will represent the Kiwis with Civoniceva having awarded him the ultimate accolade. ''He's the benchmark now,'' Civoniceva said yesterday. ''There's no doubt about that. There are a lot of good front-rowers - Ben Hannant and Brett White and a lot of others - but what Fui did during the finals was unbelievable. That was the finest and most sustained front-rower's performance I've seen in a long time. FULL STORY AT: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/2962113/Civoniceva-anoints-Fuifui-Moimoi-as-top-prop

  • with the try he scored in the grand final no prop does it any better
  • when was Civonieva the worlds best prop?
  • And how did Slater get the Clive Churchill ahead of our boy Fui?
  • These sorts of articles are just about my favourite! It is one thing for us as fans to recognise the brilliance of our own players, but when someone as talented as Petero, recognises the brilliance of one our players, it just makes me feel tickled pink!

This is my favourite thing about players like Hindy - all fans and all players recognise how wonderful he is. :-) It pleases me that Fui is now being recognised for his fantastic efforts this year.
    • How did Slater get the medal above the eel water boy?
      • how did slater get the medal above tony archer
  • Civoniceva finally says what Parra fans have known for about 3 months. Maybe longer...
    • He just woke up from his Mad Monday party
  • It just shows what a top bloke Civoniceva is... like so humble... he has been a poster boy for league all his career
    • Petero is and always has been an excellent role model for the game!!

Fui is the Bench mark no question!!!!!!!

I know Fuifui has been around a while now, but to me Fuifui has been a late Bloomer the bloke is in his peak prime and he is 30 which in League circles is approaching veteran age!!!

But I guess it seems some Props just get better with age like Steve Price, and Petero

Lets hope Fuifui has a few more seasons in th Blue and Gold yet!!!!!!!!!!
