Chris Smith on Haas and Carrigan

Chris Smith reported today that Haas is in talks with the Bulldogs, I mean come on! He also states Carrigan wants out and wants to move to a Sydney Club. His newsreader girlfriend is happy to move to Sydney. Interesting times for the Broncos if this is true!

  • Unfortunately for dogs max king and Leo Thompson will take up all the prop money. Good click bait story but

    • Its interesting if the Dogs ultimately buy a premiership.

We have seen Roosters do that and Storm and Manly going back over the years. I do not think any of those Premiership winning sides that bought players can take much satisfaction doing that.

Winning premierships is what it is all about but how you do and the tribal input is still important. Mercenaries can come but they at the very least need to love the club.....that would be very difficult for the Canterbury mercenaries.

I always though Cronk going to Roosters from Storm was very hollow. Admittantly Cronk was coming to Sydney and was going to change, but Easts paid nearly double in kind for his last two seasons. Contracts with Fox, scholarship's with universities, all add up to a golden hello and a golden handshake when it was all over.

      • Roosters about to load up again to, DCE Robson on the way. Looking at ponga haas as next targets.

        • As soon as Politis kicks the bucket that's the end of the Roosters.

They are at the end of their premierships windows.

      • Teddy soon to hang them up and they'll clean out their front row and bring haas in

        • They just extended Whyte and have Collins on long term deal. I would take either.

          • I've noticed them shopping or wanting to move on a lot of players. Dom young, sandon, Spencer leinu, cheese. Something is brewing that's more then dce contract

      • You never really hear Cronk talk about the Storm in the same capacity as the Chooks, despite him playing the bulk of his career there. My partner said this just this weekend, and she's a Storm supporter.

Politis opened doors the Storm never could regardless of what we think about club loyalty. He's set himself up very nicely.

        • Yeah , it's bullshit that the Roosters can seemingly land players jobs in the media and it's apparently not linked in any way to them playing at the Roosters.  When Maloney , Pearce , SBW , Finch , and the list goes on and on , we're at Easts they just happened to get paid regular slots on The Footy Show and then as soon as their time at The Roosters was over , their jobs vanished. Nothing to do with a Roosters board member being the boss of Ch9. Gyngell just happens to approach these guys with no conditions they played for the roosters and offered them these gigs,  and then Finch's regular Ch9 gig just happens to end when he went to Parramatta , ditto the other guys.

but If you believe the chatter , Cronk left filthy with the Storm due to the salary cap shit. He never received the dodgy payments and he copped the fallout .  Imagine being in his position wheras you're " mates " had all been receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars and keeping it from you , and then you lose your premierships because of it.

          • he got the last laugh in the end by winning two with the rooters...and one added bonus he didnt get one of the worst sporting statues of all time that slater and smith got in melbourne

fuck that artist should have been shot but frikken hilarious as it happened to those two wankers
