This has always been my argument....how can the video ref rule on a knock on when they can't on a forward pass? Either they can judge the ball travelling forward or they can't.
Reminds me of an Eels game a few years back....might have been against the Bronco's where the Eels player passed the ball forward. The on field ref sent it up stairs but because it obviously was forward & the video ref can't rule on a forward pass, the video ref instead claimed it was "knocked" forward to deny the try.
