Chief's Training Updates: It's Not Sixties, It's Better.
Absentees: The Fox, Ritchie Penisini, Dylan Brown and Bailey Simonsson still aren't training with the full squad.
Overall, there's a great comradeship within the team. The Fox although doing lighter activities, was highly vocal.
Ritchie Penisini is a monster and highly athletic 👻. If he can get his body right and play a decent chunk of football, he'll be in first grade without a doubt.
There's some very quick, elusive and fit guys in the lower grades mixing it up with first grade squad, which bodes well for the future.
New Signing Jordan Samrani , the former Bulldog and Shark who was in the future Blues' Squad a few year ago (see above), is a big boy.
Hopgood is back after his back surgery. He's in full training and hitting hard.
Matterson and Penisini outlasted everyone in the tackling drill. The whole top 30 gathered around the pair at the end shouting one more, one more. And then Penisini absolutely charged at Matterson full pelt, with the hit being game standard. In the background, all the fans in attendance cheered them on.
Ryles is very hands-on and involved in every facet whether in be attack or defence. He was always in there giving players tips.
He was very big on defence - focusing on hitting and driving back with a big emphasis on wrapping up the ball. They spent 20 minutes on wrapping the ball and wrestling the attacking player down , one on one and two on ones. And the hits weren't for the faint hearted: They were around 80% game standard.
Also, I don't know who this player in the yellow is (above), but he's the fittest at the club at the moment taking over from Guth. He consistently beat everyone in the 200m runs.
PS: Sixties, I'm coming for ya😆.

Well done Chief, love that news. Richie sounds like a competitor.
Good news as well about Hoppy.
Hey Chief was jnr there today, also how did Doorey look
Junior Was very present in all the drills, looked much trimmer than he has ever been. Some of those attack vs defence drills go for 40 minutes non stop until they are absolutely fatigued.
Then after that, our new trainer Mills, had them run 200m races, they all looked pretty fit. Hands and Matto looked especially fit and were near the top in all drills.

I posted on here a while back that a pretty reliable source told me that Ryles called Paulo before he even arrived and told him some home truths about his weight and efforts . Seems it was on the money. From what I was told , Juniors feelings were not cared for or catered for, it was blunt .
Is that Riley smith in yellow ?
I'm not sure but he is the fittest player in those runs by a long way.
Ryley Smith yes
Thats Awesome
He is going to start round 1 heard it hear first!
I'm sure it's why Ryles has him in the yellow top, because he's at the top of the tree in training standards.
Ofehengaue in the polkadots, must be another leading player maybe signifying in defence.
Prince Ryley is going to be in contention at some stage. Your hooker should be the fittest player in the team.
Did he look good?
Spots make me think he is being targetted like a 'spot'
I hope not because Ive always rated Joe
