Guymer's debut he was incredible, then got hurt in his 2nd game and that was his 2024 finished. Then this year was thrown to the wolves v Melbourne when Tuilagi was hooked. He played on an edge and was torched. You can tell his confidence was shot for some time. Then mid year he kept playing and playing, eventually getting the start edge spot for Tuilagi when he got a long suspension and played full 80. He got more confident to the point where on Sunday he looked comfortable. He has a bit of ball playing about him too. I can easily see him as our future 13.
I think 13 is his best position but his form on the edge i feel he offers something a bit different compared to Kelma with line running and defence but Kelma has that X factor about him.
Yeah, he's been good in the latter part of the season, but what was all that agitation about when we were trying to re-sign him last year?

I'm still not that sold on him just yet but I've seen a lot of improvement since Ryles has become coach also in Doorey as well
Can't believe you are not sure on Guymer potential
2024 I remember screaming at the TV with the likes of Lane, Matterson, Cartwright, Hands who consistently were bludging out the back and giving up on the play. Ryles has replaced those guys with players like Guymer, Samrani, Papali and Smith who always seem to bob up where they are needed. This is not luck, this comes with footy iq, anticipation, effort, fitness and attitude
