Channel 9 Commentary

At the best of times the channel 9 commentary is diabolical but today it went beyond that.

Finch getting on his knees for Smith and Slater.

Rabs and Gould calling Slater 'Great'. This is the same bloke who was a willing participant in the greatest fraud in Rugby League history.

The officiating was just as poor. How many forward passes, Slater and Smith flops and laying in the tackle was just let go.

I thought if a couple more calls went our way we would have gone a long way to winning that game. Two forward passes down the right side that were line balls at worst coupld have seen Hoppa and Morgan in for a try each.

  Doesn't change the fact he's a cheat and will forever have an asterisks next to his name, just like Slater, Cronk and Smith.

Storm have mastered the skill to get away with forward passes from dummy half, grappling wrestling tackles and holding down the player playing the ball. Cheats at their finest.
We couldnt get a penalty at our home ground.

Thing that annoyed me the most about the commentary was how biased they where with some of the calls the refs made. Eg when the player lost the ball and it landed on Sandow and they called it strip they said nothing about reversing the call, then slater rakes ball from Robinson (which was fair play) and ref calls knock on and they watch replay and go on and on about how it should of been reversed

Worst bit was them congratulating Ricky Stuart and his raiders on how well they are doing. That really rubbed salt in the wounds.

Come on, that's a ridiculous comparison. Lance Armstrong was a habitual drug cheat, he used performance enhancing drugs. Slater's performances were his and his alone, regardless of the amount he was paid above board and below. The Storm cheated the cap, they lost their title, Slaters brilliant on field play is due to his abilities, no drug use has ever been suggested.

  Probably not but we will never know. He knowingly took payments beyond the salary cap as did his team mates and cheated not only himself but the whole of rugby league.
  
  Great player, but a cheat without any sort of moral compass.
  
  As I said the five years that he and the Storm cheated will always lend an asterisk next to his name.

Didn't watch game but it's typical of those 2 grubs they get away with everything. Would like to bake a cake with Slaters face on it instead of eating it I would like to smash it Lol
