Changing the Rules

Up until I watched some news a minute ago I knew where I was at and what was expected of me re:Omicron. Now I am clueless as to where I stand. I feel fine. Over it. I think that as of now a neg RAT frees me from isolation. That is how I understood it, but changing the rules on the fly always creates confusion. I think i'm gonna run with my interpretation. I wanna be free.

Randy, I think we are at an interesting stage right now. We are in a let it rip stage now after being quite cautious and having a good vaccination rate..Many are suggesting that the hospitalization rate is low and it's worth the risk. Others are saying that many will die. Who to believe? What does it say bout us ? Are we prepared to let people die. The contrast between WA who I think got 1 or 3 covid cases today and NSW 12000 or so. How will people judge our leaders in 3 months time?.

    • Don't get me started

in the UK they are saying omicron plus delta equals a medical tsunami

don't think for a minute dopey scomo is thinking the let it rip strategy will find him more electable

he's about to shit in his pants - without the Golden Arches or jen

      again

      • Yes Carlo Delta which appears to be much more serious is going unchecked now.

        • Maybe more contiguous but don't think it's more serious.

Which why I believe they are being more relaxed with it.

      • Tell me another PM post WW2 that's dealt with more emergencies than SCOMO , he will be here for many more years Carlo my lefty freind. So get used to it 😂😂

        • I'm just here waiting for the inevitable Scotty from marketing ,  Hawaii or Maccas comment in response to this difficult query.

  • Yah ok but what can you do at the end of the day? What's the alternative. Sorry but we can't continue like this I know it's a risk to the vulnerable but it's not fair on the young people in society to live like we are. We got to enjoy our younger years like they should be enjoyed it's not fair that the young people now don't the the same chance. I've got omicron right now, pretty mild symptoms. I get that's not going to be the universal experience but unfortunately there isn't really anything more we can do about it.

    • Let's put it in perspective. I try not to read the daily figures as it's quite a bore nowadays , especially after first hand knowing a whole bunch of people who've tested positive including immediate family and very close freinds , all of which said it's fucking nothing ( two of which are not vaxed).  Think it's about 13 now I know.  But anywhoo , I did read the other day a headline that went something like this.

"COVID positive numbers reach all time record high overnight and one person dead "

So with all due respect to the person who died, we had some crazy big overnight number of people positive and a single very elderly man unfortunately passed away. A few years back long before COVID I remember reading we had something like 3500  flu deaths in Oz in a 12 month period , about 10,000 people hospitalised in NSW alone and about 200 deaths in nsw.

COVID australia - 2000 deaths in 2 years. So tell me why we are financially crippling the country and creating a mental health problem that'll be present for generations ?   The vulnerable were still dying from the flu before COVID and will continue to long after COVID.

It seems the old school common cold is now replaced with COVID and anyone unfortunate enogh to get a cold can kiss their freedoms away along with any plans and financially any deposits or booking you've paid is yours to cover. I can walk around with measles or chicken pox , but get a cold and the army's knocking on your door daily.

seriously anyone who checks in anywhere or goes and gets tested by their own free will I'm starting to think is an idiot. Unless you're feeling like you're needing to be hospitalised , stay at home until you're feeling better and ditch the test.
