Changes for next week ?

I thought Blaize was pretty solid on that wing. I'm guessing Harper is straight into centre. Lussick will prob be trimmed off bench and hopefully matto comes in. We definitely look more like a football team at the moment but plenty of work to do and improve on lol.

  • Some of our issues are roster issues and depth obviously especially out wide . Any team with athletes on the flank can beat our plodders and Cup quality edges for speed and athleticism.

On a good note some of the 1%ers are improving week to week . Stuff that BA had neglected for a long time . Marker defence and kick chase has improved a lot . Some of our guys have developed such bad habits .. guys like Lane who had his best game in a season and a half today and still slacked off and dropped concentration at times.

I think next week would be a good chance to look at Tago in NRL. If you're going to get shredded with the Asi Russell combo you might as well give a raw young bloke a shot .

    • If Lane just thinks, 'run through the line' he can be a very decent bench middle. He's a big body who can bend the line and gets good post contact metres.
However if he runs up sideways thinking offload he becomes a liability and a risky carry.

    • I agree lane looked a lot better tonight in the middle. His days as an edge backrower are over.

Tuliagi looked good tonight. I'm still not sold on Cartwright. He's still a grabber in defence although maybe the ribs are the reason because he was actually aiming up defensively earlier in the year. And he still has rubbish in him
