change is needed ASAP

Really starting to think Parramatta as a club needs a rebuild. The clean out was a good start but was not conducted in the right manner. I feel as if parra is currently in a huge mess on and off the field. A fresh start and roster is needed or we are just going to keep losing games and remain inconsistent. Its a shame to see a team i love so much go through so much negative press. I wouldn't even care if we were relegated for a season or two to get back on our feet as a club.We need to rebuild (staff + Players) and start over with a whole new culture and playing style. I understand that we have alot of players out but we are way too inconsistent. We need to gain our respect back.

  • I feel your pain I think the club needs to admit that there have some been missteps under arthur but the club is working with him to turn us back into a premiership club
    • There is effort but its just a shame that the boys cant get the results.. guess we all just all miss that winning feeling!

  • Parra should adopt the Alcoholics Anonymous credo. The first thing is to admit you have a problem. We havnt yet. People praise most of the players at various times, but we have to accept the fact they are sub standard. I know 5 year plans are bad news, but we need a 5 year plan.

  • You can't fix the club in a year or 2, it takes time. We've bought well in key positions with what is available on the market whilst dealing with sins of the past. It takes time to balance the ledger and we've done well.
The team that ran out last night was nowhere near the team we started the year with, injuries happen and you have to ride it out. Anyone thinking last night was Parra are dreaming, it's the result of a horror year.
We have so many good young kids coming through, we start a clean half of us will be whinging in a year or 2 about how bad we are at retention. Band aid fixes won't help, have to tough it out.
  • I thought we were already in the process of rebuilding. New board, new coach, new players. But it's like we started building on the beach and the tide has come in and everything has started to fall apart again. But for the injuries, I would agree with the OP. Let's say we had everyone, and Foran, at full strength, no injuries for the first 10 rounds. After a full preseason, Gordon, Peats, Norman and Foran figuring out their shit. Seriously with our pack we should be extremely competitive. But in real life I guess it all comes down to the depth. And the likes of Paulo, Kelly, etc. don't provide that. With minimal injuries I would say we'd all be smiling around this time of next year.
  • Change is the last thing we need imo.

We've seen too much change in the last few years. A turnstile of coaches, CEO's, board members and players.

We definitely need to change up the roster and we are, gradually.

Considering the mistakes made by previous employees at the eels and our salary cap woes, I think BA is doing as good a job as possible with the playing roster.

    • Yep
  • X 2 Grunta, well said.
