Tomorrow an all time great eel starts the defence of his character. I find it perplexing how it gets to this. A good looking young bloke, plenty of money ,plenty of fame, surely the girls in Sydney would be all over him on grand final night. Why the trip. to Newcastle to supposedly savage some girls snatch? Why has our club apparently just flicked him over supposed guilt? Intriguing?

I think that is why the club played daft for 1-2 months when it came to his contract renewal. They knew about his antics in Newcastle but the general public did not.
I think if he would not of done this he would of got a new contract, not now though.

The case is a bit suss will be interesting to see what happens. In terms of jarryd the footballer no one can deny how good he was at times and how frustrating he was at others. ill look at his career as a great waste of talent that class of 05-09 Hayne,Inu,Mateo,Trex,Tim Smith all could and should if done so much more.
If he had the dedication of a slater, smith etc.. he could of been anything.
From what ive heard the Hayne away from footy was or is a man child who at some point was destined to end up in trouble. I hope hes innocent and i hope he pulls his head in for his sake and his daughters.
