Has he signed with Cronulla yet? There were reports a few weeks ago saying it was a done deal, but I believe nothing has been made official. If the Foran deal falls through, he'd be a handy plan B if he's still looking for a new contract.

    How is it stupid? Not sure if you realise, but IF we miss out in Foran, we literally have nothing. As far as I'm aware, Townsend is still without a club and if true he remains one the best halves on the market.

    What is wrong with you spanner? How is this blog stupid? Townsend is a pretty good player and would be a nice option in the halves if the Foran deal doesn't work out.

    Don't get me wrong guys, I've never really been a fan of Townsend and ideally I wouldn't want him, but there is literally nothing else on the market. Sadly Townsend is probably the next best option.

      I think it would be better to get carney but after him, I would say Townsend is the best option available.

    I reckon the Foran backflip is a big reason why Hodkinson and Townsend haven't signed anywhere else yet. We've got the most to spend, regardless of whom we end up with.
