Celebrating good news

Why is it that we find it hard to celebrate good news? It's okay to be happy guys!We haven't bought players like this ever. It's exciting to be an Eels fan .Yes, i have complained about things in the past but i also know when to celebrate little victories.

  • Yep
  • Its because we lose local juniors to other clubs. And we sign overated players for high price .if we loose jnr it would be disappointing. I have watched pauli play since he was 15 in parra colours very sad to see him leave. That why im not celebrating
    • Would you rather lose Junior or be bottom dwellers in the years to come? Because if we do retain him it will be on a substantially inflated price (to match the Raiders) which will place a hindrance on our cap situation.

    • Rubbish. Why is it an inflated price. He'll be one of the best front rowers in the comp in two years. Pay the man what his worth. Which is what Canberra plan to pay him.
    • Why couldn't we give guys like Rory o brien the flick to accommodate for our jnrs (no pun intended). Im sure we will get more light shed on this as the season gets closer. Obviously Pauli is heading to the knights and yeh he is a Jnr and all, but the game has hanged to 8 interchanges he is near the 120 kg mark far to big for a endurance game like that
    • You cant sign 4 top class players if your not willing to lose somebody.
Ill take those 4 proven players over juniors who havent proven they are going.to take the nrl by storm .
Expect junior to struggle when the interchange goes to 6.
    • Fair enough but you get my thoughts though.

      but agree with rap94 100%
  • I was moon yesterday mate, better then christmas lol. Up the eels
  • Mate I am still pinching myself. I was in such a good mood yesterday especially after popping by training and seeing Jennings there training with the team. I was excited for this year based on the quality we had already recruited but this has just put us right up there with the contenders.
  • I don't think we find it hard per se, but that most of us have become accustomed to disappointment. It's sort of like a form of PTSD, from years of failure that has culminated in this mind set. I am excited for this season but there's also a lot that can go wrong in that time and sadly we seem to be one of the clubs that Murphy's Law has well and truly set into.
