Cayless played with torn Hammy

SOURCE: SMH PARRAMATTA captain Nathan Cayless tore his hamstring again only a few minutes into last night's game, but ignored the pain and continued playing rather than leave his team a man short in the biggest game of the year. And Eels superstar Jarryd Hayne almost had to play with borrowed boots that weren't even the right size after realising he had brought two left boots to ANZ Stadium. Cayless, who had strained his hamstring the previous week against the Bulldogs but was cleared to play against Melbourne after getting through training sessions on Friday and Saturday, did not say anything at the post-match media conference about his hamstring. But later, in the dressing-room, when asked how the injury had handled match pressure, he revealed: ''I did it again on my second hit-up.'' • And Cayless played the house down.

And Hayne was mentally over-whelmed by the whole occasion. It showed the first half, he just tried way way too hard.
