  I always thought that it was odd when I saw Kieran's contract breakdown in the Telegraph last year, had never seen that before for any other player!! Just because its been published does not necessary mean that its been guaranteed..that's a joke!!

    Also have been thinking that when a player signs that the figure stated in the media is always so much more then what would be actually salary cap space...e.g Cherry Evans $1.5 million that's not all cap space and has to be cap space money + marquee player allowance + TPA's...whats the diff!!!

  You're right about the need to look more closely at TPA's. But also note that Kent lists the Eels as in that group of teams that leaks showed were spending double the average on TPA's. So TPA's are being exploited but the Eels are amongst those mostly culpable for the exploiting. We still smell bad, in other words.
