CALL it spending money for the festive season.
Call it what you want, but Parramatta have close to $600,000 remaining in their salary cap to go shopping prior to the 2015 season.
Despite trumpeting a host of new signings last Friday, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that the Eels are yet to spend the salary of Dally M winning fullback Jarryd Hayne.

The Eels still have money to spend even after signing Anthony Watmough.
Money allocated for the signatures of Anthony Watmough, Brad Takaraingi, Beau Champion, Reece Robinson, Richie Fa’aoso and Danny Wicks had been determined prior to Hayne’s shock decision to chase a dream in the US of playing in the NFL.
It means Eels coach Brad Arthur can spend the summer assessing his roster before making a decision on whether to make a play for any marquee talent across the NRL.
It’s a unique situation which the majority of coaches would envy.
Arthur has declared publicly that centre Will Hopoate is the leading candidate to replace Hayne in the No. 1 jumper for the blue and golds.

Reece Robinson is a new member of the Eels backline. Pic Mark evans
Hopoate will commence training in the fullback position during the Eels first field session during next week’s training camp in Seattle.
The faith in Hopoate by the Parramatta Eels coaching staff all but rules out any move to lure Manly fullback Brett Stewart away from the northern beaches.
Coach Arthur also has the option of playing new recruit Robinson at the back.

well who do we go for now?
for 2015 i dont know which position to target, but for 2016 i would target a 5/8 or halfback.
Cronk to eels, Cronk to Eels, Cronk to Eels
Forans attitude and tenacity with Sandows off the cuff freakish ability accompanied by Nathan Peats ability to play an up tempo aggressive nature combined with stars in the making in Tepai Moreoa and Manu Ma'u thriving under Wamoughs leadership and will to win.
Add to this Hopoate and Radradras attacking prowess while other try specialists in Champion and Robinson come along nicely with finally an abundance of front rowers chomping at the bit for a 4 man rotation which till this day has never been this overstocked to the point where Mannah,Lussick,Junior Paulo,Wicks,Mossop,Pauli,Fa'aso,Allgood and McPherson know that all 9 of them have to fill this 4 man rotation putting all on notice that an average performance will mean relegation to reserves would be certainty therefore all the mentioned are giving it their all to retain their spots in a refreshing beneficial scenario in terms of previous years where not much effort was required due to a lack of depth.
Not gonna go through it but I'd say remarkably wentys side would boast first grade experience from 1 to 17.
If Foran cannot be lured then I'd say James Maloney would be next in line.
You won't get Cronk away from Melbourne for a measly $600,000. But pipe dreaming would see us get Cronk for 2015 and Foran in 2016. Imaigne that halves pairing.
Hayne was on about 1.2M
Maybe only on 600k out of the cap??? He was the only one getting the 8 year allowance and the rest was maybe 3rd party??? Yeah far to expensive Feces for the side to afford............
