  well he needs to add something to his game, his runs don't really bend the defence back anymore. I remember he had an awesome game against the knights in newcastle by offloading a lot. If he can keep his error rate low then I'm all for Cayless offloading more. It helps our second phase play too.

  very true mateo got pulled for doing very similar things. Might be just me but it seems when he offloads the ball hits the ground and something good happens. Maybe they are just the ones that stand out to me? anyway agree with jamesy, he needs to do something with good competition for his starting spot.

  yep. captain is more effective when he is moving the ball round. silly to say for a forward but he just cant push through those hit ups anymore. better getting him giving the defence something to guess about.

  He's always been reasonably offload happy for a prop forward. Under Anderson, who judging by his Warriors, St Helens and now Eels teams, encourages the offload and that aspect of Caylo's game has been amplified.
  
  I note that Justin Poore in interview before the season admitted that Ando had been encouraging him to increase his offloads in traffic.

  Offloading and promoting the football is what got parramatta to the GF last year and is why we will be successful again this year.
  
  We do not have the 7 or 9 to play a successful structured style of attack so we rely on offloads to create a broken field scenario for guys like Hayne, Grothe, Burt, Tahu, K Keating etc. If that stops Parra stops.

  He's got a pretty good long ball on him too in some of those set plays.
  From what I've seen when he has about 3 defenders on him and he tries to pop the ball out is when he knocks on. I'm all for him taking a one on one and spinning and handing it back but when there ate arms flailing about the place and he's falling he needs to learn to hang on. It's all about making the right decision for the scenario. I see Mateo has really picked up on this since Last year. At the same time I'd hate to see the players being told to hold onto the ball. Without second phase play we have nothing. When we have it we're definately world beaters.

  I have noticed he is also twisting and turning his body when hitting the line. This would suggest to me he knows penetration is not a big part of his game anymore and that freeing up his arms for an offload would be more dangerous to opposition teams.

  I agree, and I also note that Hindy has added that aspect to his game more as his career has progressed as well. Last season, Hindmarsh was ranked 8th in the NRL in total offloads with 52 for the season (Bronson Harrison had the most with 74).
  
  BTW, Cayless was 14th with 42.
