  I would have thought that they wanted it lowered. It's obvious that they can easily cook the books. So many origin and international players and still under the cap. Lots of brown paper bags.

  Gone are the days when all clubs would be crying for a bigger cap. The age old threat of player talent drain to super league, rugby and other codes are no longer. These days elite league players can earn $1m+. The Broncos couldn't give a dam about the cap because they have unlimited TPAs. The Storm will be OK without Cronk's salary next year. The few clubs crying for an increase rolled the dice, lost and deserve to be in deep sh*t. The Raiders can give Jr Paulo back to us, Dogs can leave Foran at the Warriors or Woods with the Tigers, Roosters can send Tedesco back to the Tigers, Phil Gould can shut up for once. There's your salary cap issue solved !!
