Can You Feel IT?

I'm not usually one to create stupid blogs, but its 2am and im blotto so what the hell..In the words of the great Phil CollinsI can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lordIve been waiting for this moment, all my life, oh lordCan you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord, oh lordEach and every week i have this bad feeling that Parra's ugly sister who we have been so used to over the last 18months will show, you know those games where it looks as if we couldnt give a sh*t, where we drop the ball every set, where we let reserve grade players run over the top of us?. Well every week it appears the ugly sister is on holidays in bermuda, because we are playing some SERIOUS footy. We absolutely toyed with the Panthers in that second half, wev'e finally made the comp pay notice to us.I was actually a little worried after the first half considering the amount of possession we had, I though we should have crossed for a few more, but right from the word go in that second half we came out on fire, we showed discipline, scintillating attack, composure but it was once again our defense that had me in awe, The panthers threw a fair bit at us in stages on Friday night, yet each and every set we kept them out and turned them away and frustrated them into self oblivion. So after tonights results we se that the mighty St George Illawarra have been thumped 41-6 by an under strength souths. How the mighty have fallen, the team that according to their own supporters had the comp rapped up 10 weeks ago.Imo the Saints will be back to their best this week, Mr Bennet surely has realised their out of form, and he will have them primed for this one, they are too good a team not to be hitting their straps. The funny thing is, I say bring it on! I want to play Saints at their best because i honestly think we can take them and if we can beat them this Friday, then we will have the mental edge over every other team in the 8.Peace out my fellow slaves to the blue and gold! Lets squeeze all we can out of this lemon we call momentum, who knows how far it can take us.

  • weve made the finals so im very proud of the eels alot of progress since last year. its a dream to win the premiership and if we dont we will be alot stronger next year.
  • We will destroy the Dragons this friday night. Parra plays with emotion and our players are mentally and more skilled then them. Wayne bennett knows this thats why he said in a matter of weeks dragons might be out of the finals first round. A defeat to parra will see dragons come 3rd on ladder. If they lose and 7th and 8th win, goodbye dragons. Wayne bennetts are smart man, theres no time left to fix the dragons problems. Not when its finals time.
