They were great and we were awful. North Queensland are showing how well coached they are as their squad is not very good but Payten is getting the most of out the players he has at his disposal, this loss i prefer compared to Wests as they are a team that will be in 8, rather lose to a top 8 team than a bottom 4 team, the score makes it worse though. BA on the other hand, oh lordy, he has a massive game next friday, if we somehow pick up a win then all is forgiven in a snap of the fingers. I will move this blog into a different direction so bare with me, but i will start by beating a dead horse and say this out loud. THEY WILL NOT SACK BA NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS THIS SEASON.  That is fact. Get knocked out week 2 still here, knocked out week 1, still here, miss the 8 still here. Only thing different is the talk was loud last year and will continue this year. End of 2022 i mentioned we either move on or extend, we decided to extend but for 2 years instead of 1 like i suggested for this reason alone, if our 2022 was average and not improvement and players left we could move on, but with two years left we have our bodies bent over the barrell with 2 year payout being the reason not to move on. Stifiling the club further, instead of accepting the inevitable and the quicker we realise what the likely inevitable is the quicker we can be great again.

BA's teams are the look of a coach that is in year 2 or 3 not year 9 (dont attack me Brissy who says it is only 2019 when his reign actually started). As Benji said teams sometimes turn up and expect it to happen, that is us every year and it is a constant issue that keeps appearing which makes you say why is it not being fixed, it is a sense of arrogance. The talk from the media of JA is not brought up and if it is  it is tip toed around, if BA named JA at 6 against Penrith then he simply confirms he pushing an agenda over winning, not saying he is not committed to winning but sorry if JA's name was John Smith he is not named to move Brown he is no superstart to overtake one of the form five-eighths to fill a hole, more important to have a great 6 and an average centre than average center and 6 which is what has happened. I actually do not mind JA but it is getting ridiculous he was not good tonight. BA has been known to do this too in the past, do an out there position change and keep it as it worked once and inflates his ego as a genius. Sandow to Fullback worked for one game v Canterbury, then clubs worked out he was only good at running and targeted him with a high ball, Niukore to centre worked for a bit but faster centres found him out, JA and Brown shift worked once and kept it and bit us badly.

If BA moves it is a rebuild simple as that as we cannot get a Bennett type, unless we get say Flanagan or Green who could get us going quicker but most fans say no, so unless you want a rebuild BA is the option for us now, unfortunately have to live with it, player revolt could change it but he doesn't hold his players accountable consistently so they will consider themselves lucky they have him as they still play top grade, Rodwell or Greig should be used over Kaufusi to further their development, NSW cup are doing really well use them and see what they do, if they do not do any better than we realise we are in trouble next year and our depth is not as good as BA thought making him a politician lying to us.

But BA sacking blogs though i feel are fair are not realistic as he is here for a bit longer yet and fear he could remain in the club post coaching. He has done wonders pulling us out of the fire of the mid 2010's but he could ruin his legacy at the club by over staying his welcome. Let's hope it is just a slow start leading to a strong finish where in the past we have a strong start and average finish.
