I arrived at Homebush in the last 10 minutes of the NYC match and only really started paying attention to their match promotion in a limited way whilst the teams were warming up. However their presentation had some commendable inclusions.1. Steve Turner did quite a good job as co-host of their match preview. An analysis of both teams, which was quite balanced, was interesting to view.2. Sound and vision at ANZ is much better than Pirtek. Presentations and interviews were shown on the big screen and having a balanced sound system meant we could understand any announcements. Larissa, I know that this is a Stadium issue but in the Cronin stand I cannot make out one word spoken by the on ground presenter at Parramatta!3. Rob Shehadie. He does a great MC job and he's a Parra fan. He did the Parra job a few years back and lives in the Parra area. He's a top bloke, a funny bloke, and I spent a bit of time talking with him whilst we were stuck in a long queue on the last election. From memory I think he was getting work through ANZ Stadium itself.4. Half time coach interview. A quick word with their assistant coach Jim Dymock added to the fan experience. All in all, they had aspects of their presentation which combined the best elements of a TV presentation with the best elements of a live experience. We already have similar fan involvements to them with kiss cam and dance cam. They sent T-shirts into the stand for their members which we have done in the past. What I didn't like was the ground announcer telling the fans to make noise at times during the game (I don't like it at Parra games either). I wonder how dogs fans feel about that.Apart from the result and the refs performance I enjoyed the Dog's home game presentation. Being in a box on the night made it very comfortable. That part was unexpected until the day before the game so I'd like to thank Chris if he reads this blog.

  • It was my pleasure 60's. Hope your mates enjoyed the night even though the result was not what we wanted. I though we were brave. Tough few weeks ahead now.

Your summary of the night above was excellent and I am sure at our next Members Council meeting we will be discussing game experiences again and what we can learn from other clubs. The audio issue at Parra Stadium was raised unanimously 15 people at the last meeting, as was the use of 'Louder'.

One thing we need to do I think is address more people around the ground rather than always focusing on the Thornett Stand. This is coming from someone who sits in Bay 8. The Thornett gets enough attention.
  • They enjoyed it very much. We talked about it all the way in the car on the way back from the stadium. Club "Chris" (let's go for some anonymity) was a great venue!
We very much have to be open to what we can learn from other clubs. I think that there was something to be learned from the Dogs.
  • Bay 134 to bay 144 was for general admission and it was shown as general admission on tikatek. Last time we were there all of bay 134 was GAdmission. Except this time most of bay 134 was cordened off using red tape for dogs members only. The security had a hard time keeping out GA ticket holders out all night. Tikatek should amend there diagram if they are going to do that. I got there early and got a good seat but a lot of others were walking up the stairs including disabled people and then being turned back above bay 134 tunnel. This annoyed a lot of people. Apart from that it was a good night had by all
    • Ticketing seems to be a problem at both Parra and ANZ. With a big crowd on Fridat night I'm surprised that hardly anyone has anything to say about the Dogs match day experience.

If those figures (850k/900k) are accurate, you’d think it’s for this season also - which is possible with the compassionate reasoning?
I doubt Samrani is really being offered but we are a far better team with Barnett than without…"
