"He played 134 of his 264 games as a winger. Didnt complain once like a Lomax when required on the wing. Was a team man through and through. He deserves to be in the Modern Day Best Eels team somewhere. Perhaps now that we have 6 interchange players…"
" I understand the modern day theory. It has to be the players that would work in the modern day game, But the theory should include how a player from the say 80s would perform given the modern day technology and training regime.

"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"

"Can you define what era / year your modern day starts from.
I took Jarryd Hayne on your survey, but I also loved Luke Burt as a team man. Luke Burt reminded me so much of little Paul Taylor, did so much work but never got the credit he deserved."

The NRL dont know anything about the Choc Retirement, Due to the Inept running of the head office..
Well if choc doesnt play this year and retires he does not come up under the salary cap right?
Then we are technically still under the salary cap for 2016...
So I find hard to believe we are over the cap for this year even though we brought jennings and watmoughs money still counts to the cap so far. Aren't we still under the cap and if/when watmough's insurance comes through won't that make us even more under the cap, I cannot see us shedding any players unless they want out themselves.
Jennings was signed Before the NRL threw the Extra 500k on top of the cap due to the TPA's (my guess)..
If the Clubs smart they should seek that the insurance claim is back dated to when Choch was injured..
Isnt that what they have done, he was injured in the pre season and hasn't played a game in 2016 yet. If he retires and he does not play a game and the insurance company pays does that mean it comes off our 2016 cap? It would cover the 600k required easily imo
