Can we beat the Roosters?

Theyre severley depleted and we're favourites...

BUT

We're playing a half that will never play first grade under another coach, whose every long kick looks like its about to be charged down, who has no creativity , who has suddenly got a license to kick on tackles 2 and 3 if he likes and will be giving up about 40kg's to the backrower running over him.

I think its going to take a big effort. I hope we have enough. Gutho  and Mahoney are the key for mine. They both need to get back to their creative best and take some pressure off the halves. I think our only shot is if those 2 are amongst the 3 best players on the field. Maybe one to stay away from for punters.

  • Yes we can GWF, Dylan Brown needs a big one for mine, more offloads and dummy half running. Second phase play, early ball to our centres, Chooks gang tackle so late off loads are a must. Eels 10 mom Dylbags

  • Of course we can beat them, but we all know our edge defence is still garbage and our attack is not clicking. If roosters are smart and they are, they'll send Twopoo-newer and Creighton at JA all night, Teddy will be a nightmare.

    • What attack lol

      • Walker is a liability in defence, but is much better in attack. JA has potential but needs to grow into his body. Our edge defence is still poor even if JA wasn't playing.

Seems you're starting to lose your cool missy.

          • Agreed. Our edges have been much better. Walker isnt anything without momentum from his middle. All his harbour bridge passes occur because his foward roll meaning their is no defensive line speed to pressure him. Therefore, he reacts to the defence. On the other hand, Tedesco has the tackle breaking ability to create something out of nothing. I would say Walker and JA are equally bad in defence. JA is probably a better tackler, but Walker puts his body on the line more in comparison to Arthur. Most of the time, Walker is able to slow the person down before his teamates help finish the tackle. Ar

  • (I really hope I'm wrong). I think we're in trouble at the wrong end of the season. Roosters undoubtedly will have a plan for JA and probably Waqa too. Despite being decimated they still have miles of talent available. And we have trouble scoring points. I think this will be a bad loss for Parra tonight (again I hope I'm wrong)

    • We'll be right tonight MM. I think you'll see a better game from JA and our forwards will be on tonight

  • Yes we can and I will be there to watch it,in saying that every game I've been to We have been beaten

    • lol , the omen of death. Mate we will win

      • Yes we should

I think a shorter season and stand alone rep period is the best option and over due though."
