Both players arm carrying the ball touched the ground before reaching the try line. In normal speed both were tries as momentum carried them over.

However the bunker appeared to spend more time in Jennings effort in slow speed and not as much for Simon Mannerings effort. Fox Sports commentators said Jennings extended his arm, however in normal speed I did not see this.

What do you think.?

  • They replayed Mannerings in real time . Jennings wasn't afforded the same luxury.
  • Boo frikity hoo, what are you eluding to Kerry? that its a conspiracy? looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Jennings clearly promoted the ball, take your blue and canary yellow glasses off and see it for what it is, the hapless eels simply cant even apply the basics of the game and it seems their fans dont even know the rules....clueless.

  • Jenkos no try was an out and out double movement, no risk about it, he would not have got there in the end had he not promoted the ball to touch down... A definite no try
  • Mannering didn't even try to extend his arm, he very deliberately allowed himself to just "bounce" off the ground and it was just "lucky" that he ended up on the line. Had he moved his arm it would have looked like a double movement. MJ was definitely no try, and a DM for me is just poor play. Sandow did it last year against Melbourne on a zero tackle when we were right in the game at Pirtek. Fui was a serial culprit for us too. Play the ball and score on the next tackle after a half break instead of bring selfish. It's such a momentum changer from on the attack to defending at halfway.
  • No comparison between the two at all. Both correct decisions

    • I agree, it was a no try, but the stupid part is, that if he had kept his elbow cocked against his body, his momentum would have IMO carried him over the line and resulted in a try.

    • Or he should have reached out........what are we paying the bum for?,to score tries dammit!!! Sack Jennings.
  • Clearly extended his arm, clearly a double movement no matter what speed you watch it at. Mannering's try was correctly awarded. Momentum took him over and he didn't promote the ball.
  • Well...that's the end of this cracker!
