Can someone please confirm whether the board members going to court will stop us from accruing points?.. As far as I am aware, the condition is, so long as we are under the cap by next Friday, we will be able to play for points. I have not seen anything from the NRL stating that we will not be able to play for points if the board goes to court with the NRL.

People however, have been saying that this action may in fact disallow us from racking up points.... if so, can someone point me in the direction of the statement which outlines this?..

  • Thats what the NRL has said apparently, if we go to court we cant play for points, its blackmail and i dont know how legal it is but i dont blame the NRL for heading down that path.

    • Nor do I, if this is true, I'll be so pissed off at the board.

    • i don't trust the NRL
  • from my understanding Todd Greenberg has said that while the board is in place we won't be eligible to play for points. The injunction granted tonight keeps them in their positions at this stage.

    • I think that the NRL needs to clarify this... I feel like we are assuming... we have the right to know where we stand.

  • As long as the team is legitimately under the cap we can play for points.

    • This. As long as we play by the rules we're safe.

    • I really hope so!

  • Dont think so. We're playing in theyre comp. The directors issue is a breach of corporations law which is different. one company cannot remove the board of another.

    • I hope thats the case! ill be devastated otherwise
