CAN OUR NEW BOARD FIND HAYNE A TPA?

With the recent approach of Hayne to possibly return to the club for 2018, can the board deliver the required TPA to get the contract over the line.  As we now know the big difference between the previous Titans and Parra contracts was the large TPA offered to Hayne, as the base contracts on the cap was only 100K different.

Back then Max was new to the club and sourcing TPAs was at the bottom of his to do list, but now it should be at the top of the list.  As we have a number of big movers and shakers on the board with commercial connections can our board source a 300 to 400K per year TPA for Hayne?

Can our board deliver?

  • Hopefully the board has more sense and doesn't even entertain the idea of bringing him here
    • Agreed
    • Hopefully the board is letting BA make recruitment decisions not doing it themselves
  • This Hayne love is too much. I was going to have his baby years ago, but now want a divorce!!! LOL
  • LOL slip. I yelled out to Hindy up at Gold Coast a few years ago that I would have his love child. The crowd cacked themselves and Hindy did too.

Can the board appoint a Head of Football Operations, let alone a TPA?

  • I reckon they can Dave, although it would more likely be a number of TPA's totalling the desired figure.

    I can't imagine why they couldn't.

  • You would think the club would be very interested in any approach for a TPA, lets keep in mind the club cant organise these themselves but they do play a large role in setting them up and being involved after the fact.

Lets not kid ourselves though, the clubs not meant to organise them but its exactly what happens a lot of the time and our board with all its business connections should be able to 'attract' some very good TPAs.

BUT the club has stated they have ''moved away from TPAs'', that sounds like absolute madness to me, why not take advantage of every rule and let the opposition get a leg up? it makes no sense.

Youd think they would have to go against their new no TPA ideology for jarryd though.

    • Exactly Snake. If the Hayne product couldn't attract some juicy TPAs out here, then there is simply no such as a legal NRL tpa anywhere.

Ah it's true then, we are a TPA free zone? Bloody crazy and it's akin to nrl premiership suicide!! Next time blokes here bag BA for buying cheap, they should be blaming the bloke holding the purse strings then?
This must part of the reason we could not land Hayne in the first place just like Fong said.

Maybe now we've appeased the nrl lords we can do what we are entitled to do within the rules.
