Can Dylan Brown lead the eels.

7 games left for the season, good chance for Dylan Brown to try and lead the club away from the wooden spoon. I do see 3 games that are winnable for us NZ, Dragons and Tigers. Not sure what the lineup is going to look like with all the injuries currently but Brown will need to stand up.

  • Only thing that helps is Tuilagi and Sivo both close to coming back, that does help. Ogden is back too and though he is better than who we have been putting in of late. Warriors i would not say is winnable due to being in Auckland.

    • It's clear Dyl Brown won't the one to lead this club out of the hole it's in. There's been numerous debate on whether he is a half  or 5/8, so I will leave this alone. The team needs to shift their focus away from winning games with attack and focus on staying in games through their defence. Without the strike and experienced playing roster, it's probably an area they can collectively improve on to avoid the wooden spoon.

  • Warriors have been fairly average this season yeah but it would be the toughest of the 3. The other 4 games are against powerhouse teams so just try not lose by 40. Sivo and Tualagi both back would help but it's going to be a rough 7 weeks

  • I don't think he can and had so many chances to prove that. He isn't a leader or a good communicator. He is more of skillfull runner/ passer of the ball.

    • I'd like to see his touches of the footy double and swing both sides of the park. I'm guessing it will be asi next to him but really need brown to press the issue. My biggest worry is the wingers and centres being so inexperienced.

  • When Moses was injured at the start of the year and Brown was the halfback he failed to lead the team then.

Can't see this time being any different especially as our season is done and dusted.

I just hope Barrett isn't as stupid as Arthur and keeps Brown well away from the number 7 jersey.

    • I'd keep brown at 6, but make sure he's heavily involved. I thought asi was ok v titans at least a pass mark. Our forwards have been better as of late but the wingers centres issue is glaring

      • Asi a pass mark? He was hooked for being garbage. Horrible passes, horrible kicks, horrible defence. If we're to avoid the spoon we must swallow our pride and play Sanders. Which let's Dylan just be a six. If we'd done it last time we played the Tigers without Moses we probably win that game and some others

        • Could try sanders but we already have so many rookies in the team and the inexperience is adding up. Sanders is ok but I don't think it changes much

  • Like I've said many times before - it's absolutely inexcusable to go into a professional football season without a back up half-back or quarterback for that matter.

I really can't believe there's been so much negligence towards our roster.

    The two maim culprits

    # 1. - Brad arthur. -  he's gone because of it.

    # 2. MON - I'd love to know how he can be excused from this debacle  it's complete negligence
