So just watched the Raiders and they have won yet again.
They picked up a few poms but very similar side year on year.
Yes Stuart has won a GF, although won could argue that it was the work done by Murray at the Roosters prior to stickys arrival at bondi.
We all saw the job that Sticky did on our eels and tbh I never rated him as a coach but watching the 2019 raiders maybe a coach can change and get better....
What is he doing differently this year? Is there another reason the team is playing so well?
My point is I think that BA has similar traits to Stuart and that doesnt mean we keep him but if sticky can turn around anything is possible.
My point is are we better the devil we know?

Good Players make good coaches and Raiders with Stuart leading them are perfect example. Just as Bennett coaching newcastle proved bad players make bad coaches.
Raiders have 1 of world's best hookers, forward pack amongst the best in nrl and a right edge which have best attack of any edge combo for last few years. Imagine if they had quality halfback instead of Sam Williams what they would be capable of.
I think it also outlines how important a quality hooker is. I believe Mahoney can be that hooker for us and Qld injuries keep occuring and if ben hunt get injured leading up to origin he might even get a start.
Are you two still at it .Bloody hell
Sorry pops but bloods thicker than water and I have to agree with the twin .chicken legs was only an average player .plus I’d need a very big and extra sharp knife to cut those old narley knackers off
Sticky has changed this year. Appears more relaxed (obviously helps that they're winning) which leads to a more relaxed playing group. Last year everything was a drama for sticky, his press conferences were full of angst and blaming everything bar what counts. This year he is a lot cooler and I believe this has led to a more controlled and professional environment and team.
I still can't stand the Prick
Well you can get stuffed to
What’s new .you have always done that you big sook
Am I invited?
Actually Bennett did play for Australia
Playing career[edit]
From 1970, Bennett played football for Warwick, and also in the Brisbane Rugby League premiership for Past Brothers, Ipswichand Souths. He was a talented wing and goal-kicker, and represented Queensland 9 times between 1971 and 1973 ( including 7 games against New South Wales).[8] Here Bennett was coached by Bob Bax, who he has credited as being a major influence in his own later coaching career.[9] Bennett also played two tour matches for Australia on the 1972 tour of New Zealand. Also in 1972 Bennett played for Toowoomba in the last ever Bulimba Cup Final against Brisbane.[10] After that he had a spell playing for Huddersfield in England alongside fellow Queenslander and future brother-in-law Greg Vievers.[11] He played for Brisbane's Brothers club and in 1974 under coach Paul Broughton reached the Grand Final which they lost to Fortitude Valley.
