  • He's a grub and always has been and Craig Belamy is the dirtiest coach in the NRL. They practice to injure the opposition in anyway possible to put them off their game.. The journos are finally turning up the heat on this and now watch the NRL hierarchy squirm....

  • He a dirty player and I'm no fan of his but this pictures captures a moment, it doesn't tell you the whole story. I watched the video & he grabbed his jersey & drove him forward, his fist rested on the side of his head pushing his ear sideward and making it look like he grabbed it. You can only see it was his top when he lets go.

  • Hes a grub, smart enough to not do anything that will get himself in serious trouble but still a grub.

    • Snakey, combine the headings photo and the one in the following link when Smith is penalised for the incident, With 10 minutes remaining in the second half against the Raiders, the 36-year old was penalised by referee Ben Cummins for 'rubbish in the face' which prompted an encounter between the pair.   Also of note that story was on all the the primary RL sites and only the following still lists it.

      • Col, sometimes i feel Smith is bigger than the game, he's certainly treated differently by the NRL.

        • Mate ---Sometimes!!!!???

I reckon Cummins will likely get dropped as a result of this, although wasn't he the first ref to bin him or was it Klien?  My thinking is that he cannot handle being caught out and Cummins did that, as there is likely no direct ruling as such against what Smith did, his call being rubbish in the face was very apt. and rather than laughing Smith is shocked at being caught out.

Love the Raiders player pushing him over though to wit he thought the Raiders player handled him rough and should have been penalised/binned.

  • It was very interesting listening to NRL360 tonight with Paul Kent, Ben Ikin and Buzz Rothfield discussing Cameron Smith and the Melbourne Storm’s tactics.

Ben Ikin was trying to defend his QLD idol Cameron Smith at every turn.  Ikin was sickening in his defence of his idol and appeared to be a great spokesman for the NRL and their amazing ability to turn a blind eye to the grubbiness of Smith.  As articulate as Ikin can be and as rational as he can be, he was ridiculous in his defence. Paul Kent actually called Ikin a moron at one point and was very critical of Smith and his antics.  Paul Kent could not believe how Smith gets away with this on a weekly basis and that the referees allow Smith to talk to them in the way he does.  Paul kent was very refreshing in his summation of this grub.  But alas, there is always a caveat when dealing with the Melbourne Storm and Cameron Smith with all those on the NRL360 panel saying that it’s the leagues fault and that all the clubs and players get away with grubby play.

    • SPOT ON eel nut .the best take is the cartoon in the Tele this morning absolute gold

  • Smith and the Storm are a protected species.

I cannot wait till I see the back of him.

Unfortunately, the media will be tripping over themselves vying for his services.

    DOG.
