Cameron King signs with Featherstone Rovers

Cameron King has signed a one-year deal with the Featherstone Rovers.

I'm a bit surprised he couldn't land a Super League deals as Featherstone are only a Championship Club.

  • Best of luck to him!

Sadly though, I think this shows just how underdone we've been in the hooker ranks since Peats left.

    Mahoney is looking good though!

      •  KC: No, you are right. Peats has not done much since he left us. He did make the State Of Origin but what's that among friends? Some Queenslanders last year said that Peats would be SOO hooker again. But what would they know?

  • It’s a very boring off-season if we gonna post about Cameron King’s departure

    • I find it very,very interesting!!

  • It just goes to show that nobody wants our players if they are off contract or being released.  And when I mean nobody just the NRL clubs.

  • He definitely needs a new manager. Why would you fly to the otherside of the world to play park football? Surely he could play park over hear?

    • Because he'll get paid more than he would get playing park football here, and Rovers have a strong squad by Championship standards and are considered one of the early favourites to win promotion to Super League. If that happens he stands to earn a heft pay rise.

On top of that he can take his young family to see another part of the world for a couple of years. If I was a vet who couldn't get an NRL deal I'd rather player in England than play NSW or QLD Cup.
