I wouldn’t want to give him a cent. Wouldn’t take it if it was free.
Neither did Hindy's, But as it was pointed out at the time, The book is due to him playing rugby league so it is added to the cap.
Nathan Hindmarsh's book was a different case because he didn't register it with the NRL as a TPA before he was paid for it. That was Ian Schubert's personal crusade and he had David Gallop's full blessing to use his own discretion on what should be counted against the cap or not. Even so, Schubert still only valued it at 20k, hardly earth shattering.
That is not the case anymore, the salary cap auditor doesn't have that kind of unfettered discretion that Ian Schubert used to have under Gallop.
