Calm before the storm

I'm  surprised  about the lack of urgency to resign reed Mahoney and Dylan Brown. Losing either of these players could prove catastrophic  to the club as both are so talented  at such a young age. Does anyone have any news regarding  these players?

  • What makes you think there has been a lack of urgency?, did you not think that maybe their managers are doing the right thing by them and waiting to see what offers they attract on the open market to increase their bargaining power?.

The Warriors already set the bar for Dylan brown at $600k per season with their rule breaking offer at the start of this season.

  • There is offers long term offers on the table for both players. D Brown till I believe till the end of 2024 & Mahoney the end of 2023. The squad is currently on holidays that's why the talks seem a bit flat and quiet, once the boys return to pre season training on Monday I think you'll hear more about the contract situation of both.

Unless a club offers stupid $$$ which is more then what they are worth neither of them will be going anywhere.

I wouldn't stress. Unless something dramatic changes expect both to be at the Eels long term, especially D Brown he's spoke many times about his desire to sign long term as we were the ones who took a gamble with him and gave him a shot when no one else would.
