Were are you mate?Haven't noticed your name recently.Mate your filming of this trial 2 years ago was top notch!Was wondering if possible you might pack the lens again this time round.You probably had a stand for it but honestldy the way you covered it with a single camera in HD i might add was exceptional.Although il be at the game its great coming home to analyse it on the box.Cheers

    I believe that TCT or Forty were trying to get permission?
    Last I read it wasn't looking good. I thought that I read that there would be coverage of trials this year?
    Is it the launch of the NRL channel on Fox tonight?

      We tried to stream it last year and the Panthers officials shut it down. We applied to the eels to see if we could stream it this year and they are talking to the Panthers for us.

    Unfortunately no one is able to broadcast the trial. Panthers throwing a hissy fit cause they won't get a home game against us this season.

    We have appealed to the club for permission to live stream all three trials on Saturday but the club had a fairly strongly lettered missive in the NRL team list announcement stating that there will be no live streams or broadcasts. So barring a complete reversal of fortune by the weekend the live stream this year is unfortunately dead in the water.

    I will however be covering all three games by way of live updates so feel free to tag along on Saturday and ask me any questions about the action along the way!

    No there isn't a good reason or any reason in fact. I agree, basically we have two first choice teams playing and it would be a great opportunity to get the fans primed for the season starting in a fortnight.

    Another example of poor decision making by the NRL. Maybe they can't afford it after blowing all the broadcast money on salaries at HQ over the last five years.

    The way forty live blogs, it's almost as good as having the vision. If you can't get to Penrith, get on to TCT on Saturday arvo for all 3 grades.
